Emissions Analytics announces March PEMS event
For emissions, air quality and fuel testing specialists such as you and us, March each year wouldn’t be the same without getting together in Southern California to discuss the latest hot topics and research. The Coordinating Research Council’s Real World Emissions Workshop is the cornerstone, but for fifteen years this was complemented in the same week with a specialist event on Portable Emissions Measurement Systems (PEMS) and on-board sensing, analysis and reporting (OSAR) organised by the University of California Riverside.
Having taken a year out in 2026, we are pleased to announce that 2027 will see the return of this second event, now organised by Emissions Analytics in association with Kent Johnson from UC Riverside. It will harness the previous conference track record and bring it together with Emissions Analytics’ Tyre Emissions & Sustainability conference, which held its third, highly successful event last month. The event will tackle the latest innovations in PEMS testing in the same event as deep dives into the fast-emerging area of tyre and brake emissions.
The details
More details will be released soon, but the format will see two full days of presentations and discussion on tyre emissions, with parallel sessions covering a whole day on the latest innovations in PEMS testing, and a further whole day on brake emissions.
Together, we will be able to cover the very latest developments on both tailpipe and non-tailpipe emissions. We are looking forward to working with Kent and his colleagues at Riverside, and thank the sponsors who have already committed to supporting the event.
The call for papers is now OPEN. If you are interested in being a speaker at the 2027 Innovations in PEMS conference, please send a 200-word abstract detailing your proposed topic of discussion to conferences@emissionsanalytics.com.
Agenda
The CRC Real World Emissions Workshop is scheduled for 21-24 March in Long Beach, and the new Emissions Analytics Conference will therefore be 25-26 March, and will take place at the Beckman Center at the University of California Irvine, just 30 miles away. Together, you will be able to enjoy five days of high-quality content and networking in one trip.
