Emissions Analytics announces new conference, Innovations in PEMS
Emissions Analytics is pleased to continue the tradition established by Kent Johnson of the University California Riverside, of holding a PEMS-focussed conference to follow the Coordinating Research Council’s Real World Emissions Workshop.
Innovations in PEMS will take place at the Beckman Center (hyperlink to venue page) on 25 March 2027. As transport, industry and energy systems undergo profound transformation, the ability to measure environmental performance in the real world has never been more important. Regulators, manufacturers, fleet operators and investors increasingly require reliable, independent data to inform policy, demonstrate compliance and guide investment decisions. Portable Emissions Measurement Systems (PEMS) and other real-world monitoring technologies are at the centre of this shift, providing unprecedented insight into how vehicles and machinery perform outside the laboratory.
The details
This one-day summit brings together leading experts from government, industry and academia to explore the future of real-world emissions measurement. Discussions will examine the evolving regulatory landscape, advances in measurement technology, the role of data in building trust and transparency, and the implications of electrification, alternative fuels and digital monitoring. By focusing on the strategic challenges and opportunities facing the sector, the event will provide a unique forum for shaping the next generation of environmental accountability and performance assessment.
